Offset Lithography
Litho-Krome began reproducing fine art on an offset press in 1979, and quickly became the leader in the industry for high quality, multiple pass prints. Today, we maintain that craftsmanship. With veteran press crews and the latest in technology, we provide economy and quality. We still print on the stocks that most printers are afraid of, including many fine art papers and canvas.
While there are technical manuals that describe the process, a litho printing is made from a plate which has non-image portions that are allowed to absorb water. Because water and oil do not mix, we keep the non-image areas wet during the printing process so the inks avoid permeating those areas. We take the digitally produced artwork and use special processes to produce either the transparency or the negative, and create separate films for each color of ink to be utilized. Our Litho-krome processes are without peer in our industry, and are the product of years of experience and professional skill. Our clients attest to the quality of our work. And we'd like to add you to our client list! Please contact us if you're looking for a resource in providing your Offset Lithography.
