Giclee Printing

Giclée was a term created by a group of imaging specialists in California for a product line created in the late 1980’s on their IRIS printers. Giclée (pronounced zhee’clay) is a French term meaning to spray or squirt.

Today, high-end professional inkjet printers are used to create a vibrant, archival giclée with the highest fidelity possible. These printers provide a very wide color gamut to reproduce any color or medium you have created.

For years, Litho-Krome has been at the forefront in the evolution of giclées. State-of-the-art equipment and materials combined with our many years of color imaging experience in fine art offset lithography enabled us to develop the finest giclée in the market.

Our imaging specialists have an average tenure of 24 years with Litho-Krome in the Fine Art Reproduction division. Their level of experience and skill is used to produce each giclée as an individual piece of art for our clients.

Our giclées have passed the 75-year ink-fade test and are produced on acid free, pH balanced archival canvas and paper.
